The best thing to do when you have had a bit of a break or are having a tough time getting back on track is to look at the last week of your sleep diary entries (if you haven’t done a sleep diary for the last week, fill one out then do this), re-study Session 1 rules which should always be followed wherever you are in the course. Have a look at your total sleep time and start from that position. Start Session 2 based on the total sleep time that you are now looking at. Of course, if it is less than five hours, you do not start with anything less than 5 hours in bed.
If you feel that you cannot reach the 90% sleep efficiency or it has been quite a few weeks since you have, I would suggest that you look at your total sleep time again and recalculate how much time you are supposed to be spending in bed and start from that point.
